Latvia is a beautiful country in Northern Europe. According to Global Forest Watch, 3.69M hectares or 57% of Latvia land areas are forests. 1.9 million people living lovingly and freely in this Baltic country.
LMT is the largest mobile operator in Latvia and is serving almost half of the population in the country. LMT is also a leader in mobile business applications. Their smart-city, IoT and UTM solutions are some of the best mobile innovations in Europe.
It was our pleasure to work with LMT to do a research project last year to explore how our InsightFD early wildfire detection system would mitigate wildfire risks in Latvia. The forest environment in Latvia is different from those in Portugal and Greece. It is very different from the forest in Hong Kong (of course!). During the 12-month project period, we tested how InsightFD was working in autumn, winter, spring, and summer.
LMT and RoboticsCats engineers analyzed the detection speeds and accuracies under different weather conditions. We challenged our RoboticsCats AI Smoke Detection with the new forest environment! This research project experience empowers us to advance our technologies!
