Happy New Year! I wish everyone a healthy and joyful year of 2021.
Last year was challenging! The global wildfire detection market was slow. Many customer meetings and deployments were postponed and delayed. At the same time, temperatures around the world increased, the weather was hotter and drier. There were above-average wildfire numbers and damages in the US. There were more wildfires in Hong Kong last year too. Some fires were just tens of meters away from communities!
With support from partners, we overcome many difficulties and move forward with some important projects. It is a busy 2021 first quarter with many deployments in a handful of cities.
The first deployment is in Hong Kong! We installed another InsightFD 3 robot this week to protect Tai Lam Country Park. This January is very cold in Northeast Asia. We’re lucky to complete the installation on a sunny day!
